PhotoClinic Mobile Application
Facing competitive pressures from digital leaders Medscape and Epocrates, UBM came to IW with a general idea of an app based on their consultantlive.com website. The idea was to allow primary care physicians to diagnose and treat skin conditions that they don’t typically see in their day-to-day practices. The app also needed to integrate with the existing, advertising-supported website to drive additional traffic and, therefore, “impressions” that could be monetized. The result is PhotoClinic Mobile, the most popular app available for diagnosing and researching treatments for skin diseases. (Over 3000 downloads in the first month of release and continuing to gain an average of 440 users per week.)
